What the app keeps
FabForge runs in your browser and works offline. Your jobs, settings, materials and sign-off records are saved on your own device (browser storage). We do not receive them, and the app has no ads, trackers or third-party scripts.
What we get
Only what you send us yourself, for example an email or a phone call. We use it to answer you and keep business records. We do not sell it.
Ask FabForge AI (the AI helper)
When you press Ask, your question and a short summary of the screen you are on (module name, the numbers on screen; never payroll rows, employee or customer names, SSNs or tax IDs) go through our server to Anthropic, the AI provider, to write the answer. We do not store your questions or the answers. We keep only counts (how many questions a licence or visitor asked this month or today) so we can apply the plan limits. Anthropic handles the request under its own commercial terms and usage policy. [Attorney: confirm Anthropic's API data retention wording.] You are chatting with a computer program, not a person.
Feedback, bug reports and testimonials
If you send the feedback or testimonial form, we store what you typed (and your name, company or e-mail only if you fill them in) in our hosting provider's storage (Cloudflare) so we can read it. Nothing is published automatically. A testimonial is only published if you tick the consent box and we approve it. Ask us and we delete it.
IP addresses
To stop abuse we count requests per visitor. We do this with a salted one-way hash of your IP address, kept for up to about one day for rate limits and daily free-question counts. We do not keep the raw IP address in our own storage. [To confirm: matches the FabForge AI Worker v1.2 code before publishing.]
Your choices
You can export or delete your app data at any time from the app (Data page), or by clearing your browser storage. Ask us to delete any email or record we hold about you.
Children and students
The app does not collect student data. No AI helper for children under 13. Users under 18 may use the AI helper only through a school program (School site licence), where the school or instructor can turn it off. Schools decide how the app is used in class. Web hosting
Our web host (Cloudflare Pages) may keep normal request logs (IP address, time, page) under its own policy. [To confirm: Cloudflare log retention wording.]
